Featuring music from Mamma Cass and Christina Aguilera, Beautiful Thing is a love story set in the concrete jungle of a council housing estate during a stifling, hot week in July.
Jonathan Harvey’s play traces the journeys of self-discovery for Jamie, Ste and Leah, along with Sandra, Jamie’s mother and her boyfriend Tony as they struggle to make sense of their feelings about each other.
Their emotions are wrapped up in relationships with their families and their own dreams.
Beautiful Thing is suitable for those over 14 years age.
Pilot Theatre present Beautiful Thing in the Braithwaite Hall, Croydon, Clocktower, on April 19-20.
Performances are at 8pm, with a 3pm matinee on Wednesday, April 20.
Tickets are £11 from the box office on 020 8253 1030.
