Steve Hackett is best known as the guitarist with Genesis during their best years as both a progressive and a commercial band. In the years since, Phil Collins has enjoyed pop/rock stardom and an acting career and his other bandmates their periodic successes, yet it is Hackett that has come the farthest as a star performer and composer in his own right.

Hackett and his brother John on flute and Roger King on keyboards play an acoustic set at the Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfield, this Sunday at 7.45pm. It promises to be an intimate evening of finely crafted pieces, including many Hackett and Genesis favourites. Also on the play list will be a selection of numbers from Steve Hackett's new album Metamorpheus.

Tickets are £16.50 and £19.50 from the Fairfield box office on 020 8688 9291.
