Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud theatre opens its new season withthe Gentle Hook, an intense and gripping thriller by one of the world’s most prolific thriller writers, Frances Durbridge.
Stacey Harrison is a charming, sophisticated and highly successful businesswoman, however she has a tendency to get involved in complicated and mysterious circumstances. After a questionable divorce, a vicious assault and the ensuing murder of the mysterious attacker, Stacey’s disappearance leaves many questions unanswered. As the tension and mystery confound, all becomes clear in the final moments of this taut thriller.
The Gentle Hook features an all-star cast led by Chris Ellison (The Bill).
He is joined by Geoffrey Davies (Doctor In The House, Murder In Mind), Deborah Grant (Bergerac), Gareth Hunt (The New Avengers), Carolyn Lyster (Run For Your Wife, Noises Off ) and Tony Scannell (The Bill).
