London Mozarts Players’ associate guest conductor, Nicolae Moldoveanu, and pianist Leon McCawley join Fairfield’s resident orchestra.
LMP will presents a programme that features the music of Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert starting at 8pm. First up is Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony No 8 in B minor. The filling in this classical sandwich is Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 20 in D minor. The final piece is Beethoven’s much-loved Pastoral Symphony No 6 in F minor.
Romanian Moldoveanu was appointed guest conductor with LMP in September 2002. He has worked with many other orchestras including the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, BBC Philharmonic, Netherlands Radio Symphony, Stockholm Chamber Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra Johannesburg.
