The disabled workers of Crosfield began their final week at the doomed company before it officially closes its doors for good this Friday.

The factory that employs more than 80 disabled workers will shut as of March 31. Any hope of an 11th hour proposal to save the Imperial Way company has now been extinguished.

Supervisor Tina Bowden said: "Everyone's very sad here and on Friday it's going to be even worse.

"There's nothing more to say, we've reached the end of the line."

Croydon Council say it was forced to close Crosfield because it was no longer financially viable but it has promised to help find every disabled worker new employment.
