OLD WHITGIFTIANS 5
CROYDON 21
Old Whitgiftians failed to ruin Croydon's championship party after the visitors sealed the title with victory after rivals Chipstead were defeated.
Croydon attacked from the start and scored after three minutes when Benjamin Uburu kicked a penalty when the OW backs strayed off-side.
An unconverted James Schad try put the hosts in front but a try and two penalties gave Croydon a 14-5 lead at the break.
The visitors sealed the victory and the title with a breakaway Percy Warsop try, which Nburu converted.
OWs need to strengthen in the close season if they are to avoid a repeat of this season's disappointment.
