Croydon Schools Football Association's borough teams gained more silverware when two of their teams won Surrey Schools Cup finals at Croydon Arena last week.

The U12s eased their way to a comfortable 3-0 win over Woking to retain the Gibson Cup. Croydon were one goal up at the interval thanks to a Ross Marshall (Riddlesdown) effort before Alex Wynter (Ashburton) added two more in the second half.

The match was followed by the U13 Wood Cup final also against Woking. Croydon came back from behind twice to win 4-3 with a decisive goal in the last minute of extra time.

Croydon went 2-0 down but Ibra Sekajja (Ashburton) and skipper Sam Driver (Whitgift) (pen) made the half-time score 2-2.

Neither side was able to break the deadlock in the first period of extra time, until Woking nosed ahead in the second period. But subsitutes Juevan Spencer (Selsdon) and Peter Sherlock (Riddlesdown) got the decisive goals to give Croydon the win.

Croydon's U11s failed to complete a Surrey Schools league and cup double when they lost the Lancaster Cup final 1-0 to Woking at Fulham's Motspur Park training ground.

There were plenty of goals in the five secondary schools cup finals at Croydon Arena last week.

Harris CTC won the U12 trophy 6-3 against Haling Manor and Archbishop Lanfranc School won 4-1 against St Joseph's College in the U15 event.

Ashburton won the U14 final 4-3 against Coulsdon, before Riddlesdown trounced Woodcote 5-0 in the U13 final. St Joseph's College proved too strong for Shirley High School, winning 5-1 in the U16 senior cup final
