The critically acclaimed Theatre Company Oddbodies once again delivers a thought-provoking, one-man show.

The House of No Return stars Paul Morel and opens at the Warehouse Theatre, Dingwall Road, Croydon, tonight (Wednesday).

An American tourist loses his wife while holidaying on Dartmoor.

Despite warnings from the landlady at the B&B, Merve Corbin sets out on a dark journey to find her, leading him to encounter a bizarre array of characters inhabiting a moorland mansion.

Expertly layered, Oddbodies' latest offering is a sinister yet comic tale of love, loss and redemption.

Inspired by the American comic books of the 70s, this inventive blend of live performance, film and animation touches and disturbs in equal measures, leaving the audience intrigued and enthralled as they emerge from Merve's journey.

Oddbodies Theatre Company was founded by John Mowat, Paul Morel and Tanya Ashdown in 1995. They have appeared in numerous festivals, including Battersea Arts Centre's British Festival of Visual Theatre, Time Out Critics Choice season and the British Council's showcase of British Theatre at the Edinburgh Festival.

Post-show discussion night is on May 17.
