Cleanse your karma and chuckle at the same time with Soul Sikher at Croydon Clocktower.
Soul Sikher follows the journey of the imbalanced Paul, also known as Palwinder, who stumbles from his Sikh path into the belly of materialistic Britain.
His pleasure comes from his plasma television, his salvation from his Playstation and his reverence from his car divine intervention reels him back in via a one-way ticket to Punjab.
Paul works for Ingram Norton Information Technology (INIT) and has landed another major account. But not for the first time the credit and the commission is handed over to his white colleague by his racist boss.
When he's told to "go home" to India to close a deal, his distractions lead to a fatal car accident.
The second act in India all takes place in his head as he imagines the journey he might have gone on and confronts his faith in the moments before his death.
Directed by Benet Catty who toured Sikhs in the City in 2004, Soul Sikher makes use of multi-media to hold the play together including footage filmed in India.
