Some 250 baby elephants have packed their trunks and are heading for locations around the capital after being released from a storage facility in Wandsworth.
The brightly coloured calfs, which have been painted by artists and celebrity, will be dotted around the city from May to July in aid of Elephant Parade, a conservation group campaigning to save endangered Asian elephants.
The group, which is selling the elephants by auction, hopes to raise £2 million for the Asian elephant and another 20 conservation charities.
Before transportation the elephants were held at the Access Self Storage store in Merton Road.
