A silent disco marked Noise Action Week in Elmbridge last week.
The disco, held at the Heart, Walton, on Thursday, April 29, was designed to show people how they can enjoy music without creating noise pollution.
It was set up by Elmbridge Housing Trust and Elmbridge Council and proved successful. Many people turned up to learn about where they can go to alleviate noise issues.
People roamed the studio, looked at literature and enjoyed refreshments while they listened to music through a wireless headset.
Sony sponsored a raffle for a headset and other goods, which was won by Nicola Wallis.
Noise Action Week is an annual initiative where the noise management team aims to highlight the difficulties and health risks excessive noise can cause.
Lisa Power, marketing and communications manager for Paragon Community Housing Group said: βIt was a great opportunity for us to get local residents involved.β
The awareness week ran from April 26 to 30.
