Families can learn more about recycling in the borough in a new Treasures from Trash exhibition at the Museum of Croydon.
The exhibition shows creative recycling from around the world and looks at what happens to Croydon’s waste and how we can recycle more.
There is also a competition for children aged between five and 11 to create a model of the Croydon Clocktower by raiding their rubbish bins.
The best models could win a solar powered MP4 player, a wind-up powered MP3 player or a solar powered weather station.
All three winning entries will be displayed in the Clocktower Gallery as part of the summer exhibition, from June 26 until October 30. For more information visit museumof croydon.com.
