Croydon Council held its annual meeting on Thursday to swear in the new mayor and announce the new Cabinet Members.
Councillor Avril Slipper has taken over from Croydon Mayor Margaret Mead.
Coun Dudley Mead will remain as Cabinet Member for housing, finance and asset managment. Tim Pollard stays as cabinet member for children, young people and learners.
Sara Bashford takes over as cabinet member for customer services, culture and sport and Steve O’Connell has taken on Gavin Barwell’s role as Cabinet Member for community safety.
Vidhi Mohan has taken on the role of Cabinet Member for communities from a split in Gavin Barwell’s old post of Cabinet member for community safety and cohesion.
Former mayor, Margaret Mead stays in the post of Cabinet Member for health and adult social care.
Coun Simon Hoar takes over Coun O’Connell’s former role as Cabinet member for regeneration and economic development.
The post of Cabinet Member of environment and highways has stayed with Phil Thomas and Jason Perry will stay as Cabinet Member for planning, conservation, transportation and climate change.
