Croydon Central MP Gavin Barwell will be striding his way around the edge of the borough this September in aid of a pair of charities.
The 38-year-old hopes to raise money for the Allstarz Gymnastics Club in New Addington and £1,500 for Great Ormond Street Hospital, which was close to the heart of his friend and former colleague councillor Lindsay Frost.
Mr Frost passed away on Good Friday last year aged just 54 after falling down the stairs of his Addiscombe home.
Last year Mr Barwell raised money for Help for Heroes, and the year before for the Croydon branch of the Alzheimer’s Society.
Anyone who would like to sponsor Mr Barwell for Allstarz can send a cheque payable to Allstarz Gymnastics Club, c/o 36 Brighton Road, Croydon CR8 2LG.
