Police are investigating two sexual assaults which officers believe may be linked, it has emerged.

The first took place on Tooting Bec Common on November 18 last year when a sex pest attempted to push a lone woman into some bushes.

However, his victim managed to scare him off and he fled on a yellow bicycle shortly after 6.50pm.

The attacker is described as Asian, about 30 years old, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins and of medium build. He had short dark hair and wore a dark hooded coat with a dark jumper on underneath.

The second attack happened on Christmas Eve at about 8.30pm on Welham Road, in Tooting. On this occasion a lone woman was sexually assaulted but eventually managed to get away. Again, the attacker rode off on a bicycle.

He is described as Asian, 25 to 35 years old, 5ft 7ins and of medium build. He was wearing a dark felt jacket and jeans.
