A man has been charged in connection with the death of a 14-year-old school girl.
John Page, 35, from New Addington was charged with causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving, causing death by driving a vehicle with no licence and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
Lillian Groves, 14, was hit by a car and killed on her mother's birthday on June 26 last year.
The schoolgirl had been outside playing with her younger brother watching planes fly over from the Biggin Hill Air Show when she was hit by the car, just yards from her front door Lillian was rushed to Kings College Hospital where doctors fought in vain to save her life. She died shortly after midnight on Sunday morning.
Mr Page is due to appear before Croydon Magistrates Court on February 18.
