Complaints have continued about a supermarket travelator where a teacher broke her ankle when she slipped in wet conditions.

Primary school teacher Helen Mattey ended up in plaster after she fell down the travelator that goes from the car park to the Asda supermarket in St Nicholas Way, Sutton last month.

After the Sutton Guardian reported the incident last month, more shoppers have come forward to complain about the moving walkway.

Janet Bundle said she fell on the walkway in wet conditions, while nurse Christine Ledger said she was left with a sore elbow for a month, and had to have he arm in a sling for a week, after she slipped on the wet walkway in October.

Asda said they took the safety of their customers very seriously.
