A charitable trust is to be launched in memory of a 16-year-old who collapsed and died suddenly at his home.

Oluwatobi Adeyemi, a member of the Sutton Christian Centre, collapsed in front of his parents while relaxing with them at his family home in Vicarage Close, Kingswood, on March 5.

The talented sportsman and musician was taken to Epsom Hospital where he later died.

Now friends and family are preparing to launch the Tobi Adeyemi Foundation, which will offer financial support for underprivileged and disavantaged children to pursue their studies.

A family friend, Dr Deji Ayonrinde, said: “It was one of Tobi’s visions that if he successfully became an investment banker he would want to start a foundation.”

“It was his idea and now his parents, friends and family are helping him to fulfil his dream.”

It will be run through the Sutton Christian Centre.

Friends Jay Picasso and Ife Obakin have created a tribute song and video to the Whitgift School sixth former.

The video was posted on YouTube with a message saying: “This video is in loving memory of Tobi Adeyemi who was a great person and a great friend to me.

“I hope you’re resting with God in heaven and know that you will be missed. I love you, have fun in heaven.”

The hip-hop track features the lyric: “A gracious servant of the Most High, So now your chilling with the king in the whole sky.”

What caused the teenager’s death is still being investigated.

On Tuesday afternoon Surrey Coroner’s Court was still awaiting the result of a postmortem examination to decide if an inquest should be opened into the death.

Surrey Police are treating the death as non-suspicious.
