‘Beer we go’ could be the new chant on the Crystal Palace terraces after the club announced it will be launching its own ale.

Palace Ale has been crafted by Palace fan and former Man Behaving Badly Neil Morrissey, who has turned his hand to brewing following a successful TV career.

The real ale will be unveiled at the inaugural Crystal Palace Beer Festival at Selhurst Park on May 14.

Mr Morrissey will be showcasing the ale from 4pm to get fans’ feedback, and the club hopes to have the drink on sale during home matches next season.

He said: “Palace Ale is a fantastic beer and I'm sure the Palace fans will love it.

“I look forward to meeting many of them and getting their feedback at the festival.”

The club’s decision to brew the beer follows the successful introduction of real ale on match days this season, with high demand persuading the club to run their own beer festival.

Tickets for the event, which cost £5, are available at cpfctickets.com.
