Police are investigating two gruesome attacks which took place in the past couple of weeks.
On Sunday 26 June, a 66-year-old man was found in the street bleeding heavily from a cut to his head, in Gleneagle Road, Streatham, after allegedly being hit with a bottle.
He was treated by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) before being taken to a South London Hospital. He was later discharged.
Lambeth Police arrested a 28-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man for grievous bodily harm - the man was released without charge and the woman has been bailed to return to a south London police station.
On Friday, July 1, officers were alerted by a member of the public at about 3.40am to a man injured at The Green, in Streatham High Road.
They found a 25-year old-man at the scene with a deep laceration to his arm.
LAS attended and the man was taken to a South London Hospital for treatment. The wounds are not life-threatening.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested for grievous bodily harm and is currently in custody in a South London police station.
