A couple desperate to be reunited with their missing cat have taken their search online.
Alley Cat Jackson went missing two weeks ago from his home in St James's Park, West Croydon.
His owners Katie and Steve Jackson, have set up a Facebook page so friends and family can raise help awareness and bring him home.
Alley, whose Facebook profile says he enjoys eating cat biscuits, cat napping and being spooked by the vacuum cleaner, has already made 160 friends on the social networking site.
The website's success at reuniting people all over the world, has led to more pet owners using social networking to raise awareness of their lost pets.
Mrs Jackson, 29, said: "My friend suggested it, she heard of a couple who lost their dog, but were reunited with him after they set up a Facebook page to raise awareness, so I decided to give it a go."
"My husband Steve and I really miss him, and hopefully the profile will help spread the word and will encourage anyone who spots him to bring him home."
If you spot Alley, contact Katie by sending an email to kajben@yahoo.co.uk
