Mystery after UFO sighting

IN A scene reminiscent of the X Files, a couple have been left scratching their heads after a UFO sighting in their garden.

Helen Hanreck, 49, was looking for her cats in the garden when she noticed a bright light in the sky.

Miss Hanreck, of Longwalk, Istead Rise, claims she saw more than six red lights moving silently across the night sky.

She claims the lights were moving slowly in an inverted V shape with a long tail.

The insurance manager called to her partner, Nick Claydon, to have a look at the spectacle on September 8 at 9.45pm.

Miss Hanreck says she hoped he would give her a rational explanation to the unexplained lights.

She said: "I thought it was flying too close to other aircraft and I did think It's a terrorist attack heading for London'.

"But then I realised it was going the other way and heading south east. I called to Nick as I thought he would know what the lights were as he has a pilot's licence.

"But when he came into the garden we were both lost for words. We watched the lights for 10 to 15 minutes and it was like watching Chinese lanterns being dragged silently through the sky."

She added: "I am not a believer in spaceships and aliens but I called the police to report it.

"They told me a taxi driver had already phoned in about it, so I was relieved it was not just us."

Mr Claydon, who also saw the UFOs, insists he and his partner are not "nutters".

The 49-year-old said: "We are not flying saucer nutters. We are just normal people, although we did go to Roswell in America to see where a spaceship was supposed to crash.

"I have always wanted to see something like this as other people go on about it.

"When we saw it I raced for my camera but I had it on the wrong setting so nothing came out."

Miss Hanreck says there may be a perfectly logical explanation although she can't think of one.

She added: "I would be interested to hear whether anyone else saw anything.

"We are so mystified by the whole thing. It's definitely a story we will be able to tell at dinner parties."

North Kent police say they had one report of someone seeing flashing lights at 10.01pm on September 8.

Open your eyes and then tell me you aren't only idiot on this planet who thinks that we are only living things in this universe. Man you made me laugh.

I wonder why people's cameras always seem to be on the wrong setting...?

Most modern cameras, digital or analogue, calculate the best settings for themselves.. point and shoot. So with 15 minutes to get the setting right - he couldn't manage it... very odd.

Please check the following website before disbelieving: www.disclosureproject.org + I have to agree with MC about that camera situation...a very odd syndrome which is usually associated with these events.

UFO's arte all hoaxes or viewed by people with delusional behaviour. If such things really existed them everybody would see them all day. Its very strange how there is no real evidence of their existence. Even the Military deny their existence.

Not odd at all, considering most people barely know how to turn their camera on.

Kinda like Dark Matter and God. Neither have ever been observed, but are believed to exist. As for your military statement, meh... naive simpleton.

Unfortunately, the lights reported were more than likely the 'UFO lanterns' that can be bought on eBay. They look weird, but are most certainly of this earth.

There are ET life forms visiting, a rational consideration of the number of reports between the various main UFO organisations and their nature should convince anyone who isn't lost in caveman denial. It can be seen from such a study that it would seem likely that the things are indeed somewhere or other about the planet just about any day, and though their technology makes them seem impossible, even to those of us who have seen them the number and correlations between reports is enough at least to convince those of us who have seen them, that we are neither mad nor alone.

Those who under the circumstances, ie: the growing understanding of the nature and diversity of the Universe and Life itself, deny the obvious reality of what is being reported by many at least, is a caveman in denial.

Rabbit has seen, he has seen them a couple of times, up close and real enough to not ever be in any doubt. Some may choose in their caveman fear and ignorance to ridicule, but the rabbit knows what the rabbit saw. Those who deny out of ignorant anti-faith are primitiv poodles.

We need for stories such as this to include information about the size and speed of the UFO. Information about how close to the ground, color of the object, what sort of surface, and other specific details would be more intelligent to report. It is not likely that all of the UFO reports are lies or illusions. Some of them, probably, but probably not all. Where there's smoke, there's fire, usually. Even if they are not real, we need to know with certainty exactly what is going on about these phenomena. The fact that the scientific community have largely ignored such reports -or have discounted their significance- is one more example of how they are letting us down. They have been completely incapable of resolving this issue in any entirely satisfactory way, yet that is what science is supposed to be about. UFOs might not be real, but if they are, a lot could be at stake. It warrants taking the issue seriously, at least until it is proven not to be warranted.

My dad and I experienced seeing a UFO in the early 60's circle the moon and then stopped, then like a flash exited out of sight. But wait, the world is flat, and men will never fly nor travel under the oceans. Narrow minded people have held back humanity for too long and one day all will know that events noted today will fill a book of truths tomorrow.

To think that the earth is the only inhabited planet in the whole universe is very small minded. Scientists are finding new planets around nearby stars on a daily basis. Mankind has already become an alien with landings on the moon and such, so why is it so strange to think that aliens exist away from the earth ?
If another life form was to stumble accross our noisy planet, do you think they would want to be taken to our leaders and demand the surrender of the earth !! Or do you think they would want to observe from a distance in the same way we observe wild apes in the jungle ?

Jack, says...
11:03pm Tue 19 Dec 06

The camera issue mentioned by a couple other posters is tricky. It can be difficult to grab a camera and take a shot of even a normal airplane before it flies out of sight. As for the settings, if you have the camera on auto at night, you will get an unwelcome flash, so it's not surprising at all that his picture didn't come out.

If the Extraterrestrials did not exist, we all would be nuclear waste already.
As for the military, the ET are not militarists, yet they have the technical ability to dominate the skies, and the seas.
The big secret of it all concerns nuclear weapons and our nuclear war fighting elites plans to immolate the mass of humanity in an all out nuclear war.
ET says no nuclear war, and that means no nuclear war.

We are but one small planet circling one ordinary star in a galaxy of billions of stars; and our galaxy is but one average galaxy in a known universe of hundreds of billions of galaxies.

Anyone that thinks we are the only life in an expanse so unfathomable, just isn't thinking.

Whether other life forms are visiting earth or not is an entirely other matter, but surely there are many populated planets in the universe, of this I have no doubt.

People, people... 1) i too am sure that there is life out there because the universe is just too big.. HOWEVER, getting HERE may be a differnt story.. MAYBE. 2) i just went hiking and putting my digital camera back in its case, i kept pulling it out and missing pictures because the little dial on the top kept getting pushed OFF of the Auto setting and onto portrait or something.. THATS HOW IT HAPPENS... could happen to be on a wrong setting (say portrait or night) when the ufo sighter scrambles for their camera... STOP being so dense... be openminded, not a 'true believer'; true believers just make themselves look as idiots and cause logical people to dismiss the whole lot of you.

The above picture looks suspiciously like one of Billy Meier's photos from the 1970s, which are quite real. I lecture on the case internationally and maintain the theyfly. com website. The Meier case is the real "why" and essence of the UFO matter...at least those that are NOT of terrestrial origin, as many are.

How nice to see a photo of a REAL ET spacecraft in the mainstream press for a change! Very little about Earth's one formal (ongoing since 1942), amalgmated, ET-initiated, contact is in English, but a lot of that is now appearing here (www.gaiaguys.net/meier.htm) for those Earthlings who have what it takes to accept VERY simple logic and VERY iconoclastic truth.

Similar lights have been reported over other cities.
I saw similar lights in same patterns, flying against the wind, at Rapid Creek in Darwin NT Australia Nov 2000.
They simply appeared, above, not having risen, and moved slowly in formation as if they wanted to be seen. Being ex-military, they were not flares or parachute flares, or aircraft, and after taking their time, suddenly moved so quickly that they were gone in seconds, each moving independently in east and north east directions.
Lanterns and meteorites do not move in well spaced v formations, nor do they change direction quickly!

UFO Aliens are Fallen Angels commonly called Demons . They have been on this planet for the past 65 Million years and have Advanced Technology left over from the Planet that they blew up near Mars when they tried to kill God. Right now they are getting ready for Armageddon.

Dear readers,

The first 18 years of my life i grew up on or near military bases, so my knowledge in airplanes and choppers is vast! My vision is better than 20/20(eagle eyes), Was on nothing mind altering. I was delivery pizza at the time(6:45 P.M.) heading West. The sky was pink due to the sun setting and no clouds at all when a reflection caught my eye from up in the sky! I looked up at the reflection and was astonished to see what i was seeing. The object wasn't moving at all, completely still, hovering at airliner cruising altitude. I'll tell you how i know! ei watched it sit there for ten seconds before it just disappeared! i LOOKED ANd LOOKED <but couldn"t FIND IT> STILL heading west to it while bring people their PIZZA> i looked one last time and noticed a comercial jet passing through where it had been! therefore the ufo knew the jetliner was aproaching and cloaked itself from being seen! the ufo was the same length as the jetliner seven forty seven and was completely sphereical< no wings or anything< and i"ve seen my share of aircraft! it was a couple of years ago and i even sent the story to MUFON < but they left somethings out that i"m putting back in here< today!
