Bargain hunters queued from 8.30am to get first pick of the used treasures on offer at the grand opening of the brand new Children’s Trust charity shop in Epsom.

Based in the High Street, Epsom is the trust’s 13th shop in Surrey which raises funds for the Tadworth-based charity to provide care for children with severe brain damage or learning difficulties.

Justine Royal, senior shops manager for Surrey, said last Saturday's opening was a big success.

She said: “We just opened the doors and the public flooded in.

“It was a really successful day an amazing opening.

“It was a really nice busy atmosphere and we got such great comments from people which I think is reflected by the number of people who asked to volunteer.”

Having searched for the correct premises in Epsom for around two years, the Children’s Trust finally settled on their first ever high street location in Epsom to preview their fresh image new direction.

Mrs Royal added: “We are really launching our fresh look in Surrey with Epsom.

“We are moving away from the traditional charity shop and moving towards a slightly more boutique and professional set up.”

The shop has a huge variety of products on offer including clothing and children’s toys and is branching out to include small items of furniture.

You can make donation by dropping items into the new shop in Epsom, The Children’s Trust in Tadworth or by calling 01737 365 000 to arrange a collection.
