A family advice service has landed a national award for its work.
The Surrey Family Information Service was singled out for its work supporting families with young people up to the age of 19.
It was handed the Families First Quality award from charity National Association of Families Information Service.
Councillor Mary Angell said: “This national recognition is fantastic news. Our staff deserves praise for ensuring we are being highlighted to our peers and the public as an example of best practice.
“Information is important, whether you are a parent looking for somewhere fun to take your children, or a local childminder who needs guidance on policy. I would urge parents and carers to get in touch about anything they want help with.”
