17:00pm Girls from Croydon High achieve 100% pass rate:

The girls of Croydon High school are celebrating after achieving a 100% pass rate at A-Level.

The class of 2011 improved upon the previous year's statistics with 85.4% achieving A*, A or B grades.

Headteacher Debbie Leonard said: "We knew we had a talented group of girls who have worked extremely hard and benefitted from excellent teaching, but it is always pleasing to have that confirmed.

"We are proud of every single one of them and wish them continued success and happineess in the future."

16:45pm Croydon College students achieve excellent set of exam results.:

Students at Croydon College are celebrating after achieveing a 95% A-Level pass rate.

The College also revealed their students achieved a 100% pass rate in over 9 of the A-Levels it offers including Bilology, Economics and Spanish.

Frances Wadsworth, College Principal and Chief Executive, said: "The results are a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by our students and the staff who have supported them throughout their studies.

"I congratulate them all on their success and wish them well for the future."

14:40pm Coloma Convent Girls' School celebrate their best A-Level results:

Coloma Convent Girls' School are celebrating their best ever A-Level results, with a pass rate of over 99.5%.

Eleven percent of all grades were A*, 37% were A* or As, 70% were A*, As or Bs and 89% were A*s, As, Bs or Cs.

The 119 A-level students gained an average point score equivalent to 3 As at A-Level.

Headteacher, Mrs Martin said: "I congratulate all the girls on so many fantastic results, which are a credit to their hard work and the commitment and enthusiasm of our staff.

"Every single student in the Sixth Form has had the opportunity to excel and nearly all have done so."

14:20pm Archbishop Tenison share their results:

A-level students at Archbishop Tenison’s are celebrating maintaining the school’s top results.

The Selborne Road school recorded an overall pass rate of 96.3 per cent, with 74.9 per cent achieving A* to C grades.

Kathryn Eyre, assistant head of sixth form, said: “We have maintained our leel of previous years, and while a few students missed their offer grades, most students have got onto their first choice university courses.”

14:15pm Top results recorded at Virgo Fidelis.

Virgo Fidelis Convent Senior School in Upper Norwood achieved 95% pass rate at A- Level, with 56% scoring A* to C grades, while 100% of pupils taking Level 3 Vocational courses passed.

Sister Bernadette, Headmistress, said: “We are delighted with the success of our Sixth Form students. The pass rates of 95% for GCE A -Levels and 100% for level 3 Vocational courses testify to the hard work of both staff and students.”

“Special mention should be made of Laura Varsandan who achieved A* in Maths and Economics as well as grade A in French and Distinction in Business Studies BTEC.

13:45pm The results are in from Coulsdon Sixth Form College.

The college's A-Level pass rate was 95% and there was a 100% pass rate in the BTEC Vocational Diplomas, with 77 students achieveing Triple Distinctions, the equivalent to three Grade As at A-level.

David Goodlet, Principal of Coulsdon Sixth Form College said: "Our students have worked hard and achieved excellent results- with many subkects such as Art, Chemistry, English, French, Law, Music, Politics and many others achieving 100% at A-Level.

13:20pm Croydon High School for Girls share their results:

Croydon High School for Girls are celebrating after pupils achieved a 100% A-Level pass rate.

The class of 2011 improved upon the previous year's statistics with 85.4% achieving A*, A or B grades.

Students are going on to study a range of subjects including Veterinary Science, English Literature, Law, Medicine and Criminology and Humanistic Counselling.

12:25pm Harris Academies results are in:

They had a 99% pass rate and 27 per cent of all grades were an A* or A.

Harris Academies use an average points per candidate system, last year the average point per student was 722 and this year it has risen to 742.

Last year, the average grades across the academies were BBC, this year the average is between BBB and ABB.

Dr Dan Moynihan, CEO of the Harris Federation said: "These are a great set of results. More students than ever have taken A-Levels.

"We have 280 sets of results this summer, and even with more students the performance has gone up."

11:45am Royal Russell School has released its results:

The school achieved a 100% pass rate with 72% of students achieving A*, A or B grades.

Fourteen pupils got three or more A* or A grades and one pupil achieved six A-Levels, five of which were at A* or A-grade.

Another pupil got 4 A* grades and didn't drop a single mark in his Physics exam.

Headmaster Dr John Jennings said: "We are really pleased about our results. I am retiring at the end of the month, and I am very pleased to be leaving the school on a high."

11:30am John Ruskin College has released its results:

A specialist vocational college is celebrating a bumper year with top exams results in BTEC and VQ qualifications.

John Ruskin College, Selsdon Park Road, South Croydon achieved a 98 per cent pass rate in this year’s exams.

College Principal, Tim Eyton-Jones said: ‘This demonstrates our continued improvement to become an outstanding College.

“We are all focused in our efforts to ensure that next year’s cohort are even more successful and not just achieve their qualifications but progress to the very best destination of their choice.”
