The family of a teenager who went missing four weeks ago from Hertfordshire have made a heartfelt appeal for information on her whereabouts.

Amelia Fairchild, 15, was last seen at around 4pm on August 26 at her home address in Brookmans Park, Hatfield.

It is believed Amelia could be in the Croydon, Enfield, Kingston, Notting Hill or Brixton areas of London.

Amelia is white, about 5ft 4ins tall and has very long dark, wavy hair which is usually back-combed into a high ponytail and green eyes.

She was wearing a black long-sleeved top with lace over it and brown 'harem-style' trousers. Amelia also has a number of piercings.

Her cousin Samantha Lelliot said: "It is the four-week anniversary since Amelia went missing and we, her family, are desperate for information on her.

"She is like my sister and we are so close. She is a kind, beautiful and genuine person, with a lovely smile and she dotes on my twin sons. We are all missing her so much and just want to know she is safe and well.

"I would just like to encourage Amelia, if she hears or reads this message to just get in touch.

"Also, if any member of the public thinks they might know where Amelia is, I would ask them to please contact the police, so we can have her back safe and sound.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hertfordshire Constabulary via the non-emergency number, 101.
