The son of a music legend will be at the home of AFC Wimbledon next month before he jets off on a two-year world tour.
Matt Monro Junior will make a special appearance at Kingsmeadow Live on Friday, October 7 at the club’s ground in Kingston, before following in the footsteps of his late father with a worldwide tour.
His dad, Matt Monro, was a hugely popular singer during the 1960s and regularly toured the Far East and America as well as Europe.
It is the last chance to see Monro Jr before he goes off on his own world tour – he will not return to the UK until 2014.
Among Monro Jr’s numbers will be a new arrangement of his dad’s classic hit Portrait of My Love, which will be released next year.
His sister, Michelle, has just written a biography of their father’s rise to fame, and their life growing up in neighbouring Ewell, Surrey.
