Firefighters from Wimbledon fire station were called to a blaze at Sunlight laundry this morning.

Fire crews from Lambeth and Tooting were also called to the bulding on the industrial estate on Deer Park Road, south Wimbledon, shortly after 5am.

No-one was injured in the incident and it is believed the fire was sparked by an electrical fault.

This is the third time this year Wimbledon firefighters have been called to deal with fires at the site.

In May, the crew were called to the site after a piece of fabric caught fire at the top of the chimney.

In January, firefighters were called to rescue a man who got trapped in the folding machine after he tried to free some trapped sheets, without turning the machine off.
