Firefighters called to flat fire in Tadworth
Firefighters were called to a fire at a flat in Tadworth last night.
The crew from Epsom fire station, were called to a flat in Chetwode Road at around 10.45pm.
It is believed the fire was started by youths who pushed a piece of lit paper through the letterbox.
A fire spokesman said the blaze was quickly dealt with.
He said: "Luckily no-one was in the flat when the fire started and once it was extinguished we left the property in the hands of the police."
The incident is under police investigation.
