The points shared at the KT Stadium with Croydon Athletic having the lions share of the first half and Merstham mounting a comeback in the second for a 2-2 draw.

The Rams started well and in the eighth minute took the lead when a good ball sliced in from Jamie England led to a goalmouth scramble and the ball finally fell to Peter Afolayan to get his first for the club.

Just four minutes later another well placed cross, this time from Billy Marshall, was met by skipper David Graves at the far post to put Croydon 2-0 up.

There were several more chances for the home side, notably to Connor French from close range, and Rob Carter with a long range shot but the score remained 2-0 at the half-time break.

As the second half began, Carter came close again, but it was Merstham who got a goal back in the 56th minute when Roscoe Dsane's strike rebounded off the post to Daniel Harding to bring the score to 2-1.

With Merstham mounting a second half revival Fabio Savaria levelled the scores in the 73rd minute and neither team managed to get the winning goal.
