Budding photographers who are looking to sharpen their focus are being welcomed by Kingston Camera Club.

Potential new members are being urged to come along to the group’s first three meetings to decide if they want to join.

Throughout the year the club hosts a lively programme of lectures, competitions, social events and weekends away.

The highlight of the year is their annual exhibition, which is held at The Art Gallery in Kingston Museum in Wheatfield Way and is being held this year from November 5 to 12.

Members of the club share their wide variety of skills and interests, which range from urban photography to creating art out of photos.

The club meets weekly from September to June on Monday’s from 8pm until 10pm at St John Ambulance headquarters, in Athelstan Road, Kingston.

Doors open at 7.30 p.m. and there is a break for tea and coffee half way through the evening.
