Three people were left needing hospital treatment last night after two cars crashed in Anerley.
The accident on Croydon Road, happened at around 8.15pm, close to Elmers End rail station.
London Ambulance sent a single responder in a car and three ambulance crews to the scene.
A crew from Woodside fire station also attended, after the collision left a woman trapped in the rear of Volkswagen Tourette.
Firefighters had to cut the roof off the car to free the trapped female, before she was taken to hospital.
A spokeswoman for London Ambulance said: "Our staff treated a 25-year-old woman who was taken as a priority to the major trauma centre in Kings College Hospital. She was stabilised at the scene and treated for back injuries.
"Two other patients were treated and taken to Croydon University Hospital."
