Sweltering late summer weather and soaring temperatures hit the country today but in Kingston snow is about to begin falling.
The the market place is in the process of being transformed into a Christmas market for an advert shoot.
Morrisons supermarket started filming in the historic Kingston location for its Christmas advert yesterday.
The production team was joined by England cricketer Freddie Flintoff today, who will star in the commercial.
On the final day of shooting tomorrow snowflakes are expected to fall on set just as forecasters expect the heat wave to continue with temperatures of up to 28C over the weekend.
A spokesman for Kingstonfirst, the town centre managers, said: "Kingstonfirst are really pleased to have been chosen to be featured in this year’s Morrisons Christmas advert. "It will showcase the Market Place in a positive light and shows just how flexible the space is."
