The family of a grandfather stabbed in Wallington have condemned the attack which left him in a coma.
Darren Jones, 43, was left in a critical condition in a coma after the attack in Stafford Road, Wallington, on October 8.
Police believe Mr Jones was possibly attacked after an incident in nearby pub the Windmill.
Mr Jones' girlfriend Maria, 47, who was with him on the night he was attacked, said: "Darren has many friends and is well loved by everyone. He is a loving dad and granddad whose family are with him by his bedside night and day along with myself."
His daughter, Rebecca Jones, said: "He would never diresrespect anyone."
Police are continuing their investigation into the attack, in which Mr Jones was stabbed multiple times.
Mr Jones was attacked at about 1.30am on October 8, about 200m down the road from the pub.
He is thought to have been walking to his home in the same street at the same time.
Police were called to the the scene, outside Churchill's furniture shop, close to the junction with Milton road, at about 1.40am.
Mr Jones' family said he was was still in a very serious condition in hospital.
His family have joined police to urge witnesses, and anyone who has information about the attack, to come forward.

A man was charged on Sunday, October 9, with GBH with intent.
Wayne McClatchie, 29, of no fixed abode, appeared via videolink at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court on Monday.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Croydon Crown Court on December 13 to enter a plea.
