Environment Secretary Caroline Spelman and TV personality and Keep Britain Tidy ambassador Kirstie Allsopp are helping clear up a Croydon estate.
The pair will be at Brickfield Meadow, East Croydon, just before noon today (October 17) to take part in a massive litter clear-up as part of the Love Where You Live campaign.
Love Where You Live centres on encouraging people to take pride in their neighbourhood and turn out to clean their streets and parks.
The estate project is being spearheaded by Safer Neighbourhoods officer PC Phil Daly, who started working with the community six months ago.
PC Daly said: "There are a lot of decent people on this estate who care about the community and think that it has an undeserved bad reputation.
"We have had up to 70 residents out joining our clean-up events and we intend to keep on taking action to improve things."
