A van driver has been taken to hospital after a crash with an articulated lorry on Purley Way this morning.
The man, believed to be in his 40’s, was treated at the scene, after the collision near the junction with Edgehill Road, Purley, at around 11am.
He was taken to Croydon University Hospital with shoulder pain.
Police have closed the road while clearing the debris and traffic is being diverted away from the Purley Way down Stamford Road towards Wallington.
Niall O’Mara, who saw the crash, said: “The man was unconscious for around 10 minutes but he had come around when they put him in the ambulance.”
