Tadworth the Hound, mascot of national charity The Children’s Trust, obviously has a nose for fun and fundraising.

His endearing antics resulted in £500 in donations when he visited Sutton and East Surrey Water’s headquarters in Redhill.

Staff gave generously to support their local charity partner, having already organised a fundraising dress down day in aid of the charity to coincide with Tadworth’s visit.

Sutton and East Surrey Water matched its staff cash donations.

Karen Phillips, the charity's community fundraising manager, said: "We are delighted by Sutton and East Surrey Water’s ongoing support for The Children’s Trust.

"Staff are always full of fun and creative ideas to raise much-needed donations to support our work with some of the country’s most severely disabled children and young people. We look forward to continuing a successful partnership in the future."

Sutton and East Surrey Water also provides support for The Children’s Trust by sending out a lottery leaflet to its customers with their water bills.

The trust specialises in treating brain injuries but cares for children with multiple disabilities from all over the country.
