Speroni - 7. Saw his post rattled by Joe Garner early on but had precious little else to do. Was alert enough to get down to John Eustace's header nine minutes into the second half.

Clyne -7. Started at left-back instead of his usual right-back position due to Dean Moxey being out with 'flu. A welcome return for his first game of the season after returning from injury, could have even had a goal after a mazy run to the edge of the Watford area.

McCarthy 7 - Another solid performance from the captain in the heart of defence, but it helped that Watford offered little upfront. Headed over from a Zaha cross at the start of the second half.

Tunchev 7 - Started ahead of Anthony Gardner and put in a shift that justified his selection.

Ramage 7 - Had a busier second half due to Watford stepping up their game but dealt with everything thrown at him.

Wright 7 - Will have more testing games this season. Started the move that led to the opening goal when his pass found Sean Scannell.

Parr - 7 - One of Parr's quieter games but he still got up and down the flanks and weighed in with a couple of efforts on goal.

Gardner - 7 - An 80th minute sub for Parr, came on to bolster the Palace defence as they looked to hang-on to their then 1-0 lead.

Dikgacoi - 7 Another welcome return for a player returning from injury, KG ran himself into the ground and eventually out of puff. Added steal to the midfield.

Jedinak - 6- A 72nd minute sub for KG, The Jedi came on to the pitch to finish what the South African international had started.

Scannell -7 Played a great ball through to Zaha for Palace's first. Should have got on the scoresheet himself with two good efforts in the first half.

Easter - 8 85th minute sub for Scannell, Easter doubled his goals tally for the season with a sublime 25 yard strike that sealed the 3 points for Palace. The arms open, sliding on the knees celebration towards the away fans was pretty special.

Zaha - 9 Changed his boots towards the end of the first half and it obviously did the trick for the youngster as he scored a beautiful goal from a tight angle. Could have had a second.

Murray -7 Arguably had a quiet game in terms of chances, but his presence kept the Watford defence busy, allowing the other Palace attackers their time in front of goal.
