The mayor of Elmbridge sampled a nursery’s winter menu at its relaunch.

The nursery, formerly Leapfrog, officially became Busy Bees nursery on Saturday, November 26.

Mayor Councillor John Sheldon was joined by his wife Councillor Mary Sheldon at the event in Mercer Close, Thames Ditton, which also included a champagne reception.

It also held craft activities for families and raised money for Winston’s Wish, a charity that helps bereaved children and families.

Nursery manager Kelly Fairbrass said: “Everyone had a great time. The children loved the face painting, and it was a great opportunity for the parents to see the fantastic new equipment we have in the nursery.

“The nursery looks great, as it’s had a new refurbishment, and we’re looking forward to delivering the same exceptional standard of care as a Busy Bees nursery.”
