Dancing dogs were not enough to lift pop star Will Young into the top 40.
The singer’s new track, Come On – which is accompanied by a dog show-themed video shot at Wimbledon Studios – entered the charts at number 83, in the first week of its release.
The video sees Young and his trusty pooch tackling a Crufts-style course with disastrous results, before the pair dance their way to a standing ovation from the crowd and judges.
The song, a cover of a 2009 single by Kish Mauve, will be on Young’s album Echoes.
Wimbledon Film & Television studios, in Deer Park Road, was home to axed ITV police soap 'The Bill' but in 2010 underwent a major refusrbishment after being taken over by new management.
