A community group got their hands dirty this week as they planted bulbs with some similarly green-fingered schoolchildren.
Members of the Friends of Streatham Green (FSOG) were joined by pupils from St Leonards C of E Primary School in Streatham at the planting ceremony.
The event, which took place on Tuesday morning (December 6), was jointly funded by the Metropolitan Public Gardens Association and The Manor Arms in Mitcham Lane.
The group was recently established to protect the green and meets regularly at The Manor Arms. For more details email parks@lambeth.gov.uk.
