A 25-year-old motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with a serious leg injury after colliding with a car during the morning rush hour.

The incident took place at about 7am on Clapham Park Road at the junction with Bedford Road.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said he was taken to King’s College Hospital as a priority.

Bedford Road was temporarily closed but has now been re-opened.

Last Friday, a moped rider was killed in Long Road next to Clapham Common after colliding with a van.

Two men, aged 54 and 58, were arrested and released on bail in connection with the crash.
