A pedestrian is in hospital after being hit by a bus in central Kingston this afternoon.
A man was taken away in an ambulance after the collision at around 3.30pm in Eden Street.
He was treated at the scene by a cycle paramedic and was conscious when he was taken to Kingston Hospital.
A Kingston police spokesman said: "Police were called to an incident in Eden Street, Kingston at 3.45pm where a bus and a pedestrian appear to have been in a collision.
"The pedestrian has been taken to a south London hospital. The extent of the pedestrian's injuries is not yet known."
A London Ambulance Service spokesman said a man was in his 20s.
The road has since been closed to allow police to measure and photograph the scene.
