Music lovers can enjoy two world-class musicians when they visit the Vera Fletcher Hall on Saturday, March 3.

Pianist Benjamin Frith and cellist Sagi Hartov will play works including Beethoven’s 12 variations on See the Conqu’ring Hero Come from Handel’s Judas Maccabeus, Chopin’s Cello Sonata in G minor and Mendelssohn’s Perpetuum Mobile in C.

Benjamin Frith was a pupil of the legendary Dame Fanny Waterman, and she chose his performance of the Perpetuum Mobile as one of her discs on Desert Island Discs. Aged only 14 he won the National Concerto Competition, going on to receive the gold medal at the 1989 Arthur Rubenstein Piano Competition.

He has appeared as a soloist with many of the world’s finest orchestra. Sagi Hartov is well known at the Vera Fletcher Hall.

He has won many major awards and performed at the Wigmore Hall and other venues here and abroad as well as recording for BBC Radio 4.

He was a finalist in the Rostropovich International cello competition in Paris and plays with the celebrated London Mozart Trio who are regular visitors to the Hall.
