A man in army clothing has been arrested after being caught with a gun near a Tooting primary school.
Police were called after concerned parents and local residents saw the man brandishing a weapon near Fircroft Primary School, in Glenburnie Road, at 10.20am this morning (February 28).
Officers arrested the man and he is currently being held in custody.
A Wandsworth police spokesman said: "A number of calls were received from concerned parents and local residents regarding a male in possession of an imitation firearm wearing army clothing.
"The male is now in police custody."
