Occupy London protestors took over a lecture theatre at the University of Roehampton on Tuesday to talk to journalism students but unlike their stint outside St.Paul’s Cathedral, this time the protestors had been invited.

Martin Eiermann and Jamie Kelsey-Fry spoke to students on the morning after the London camp had been cleared by police.

After just an hours sleep, the duo were alert and enthusiastic as they faced a grilling from the students.

Mr Kelsey-Fry said: "Talking to young people is of paramount importance. The Occupy Movement is not just the physical camp. It is about communicating and everyone’s voices are valued.

"It’s the end of the beginning, that’s all. We’ve only just started."

Student Annabel Rusbridge-Thomas supports the movement. She said: "It’s not something I would get involved in an extreme way, but it’s a really good thing to do." Another student, Marvin Bramble, 34, was less than enthusiastic about the protestor’s tactics.

He said: "The protest was fine but it was nothing we haven’t heard before. I work in the city and you guys caused a lot of disruption.

"To try to make a change is fine, but it should be done in a democratic way which doesn’t cause problems for other people." The event was organised by journalism lecturer, Kate Wright, to give students the opportunity to hone their interview skills and to experience breaking news stories from eyewitness sources.
