Cleves School has begun a consultation to expand its facilities so it can accommodate more pupils.
A preliminary consultation with parents of Cleves School has shown support to extend provision from junior to primary, which would mean the school caters for reception through to year 6.
A spokesman for the school said: “It has been a vision at Cleves School, Weybridge, for a number of years to expand, and start the Cleves experience at reception level.
“The parents, staff and governors of Cleves believed the children would benefit from a continuous education experience without disruption.
“Cleves is also fortunate enough to have the grounds to accommodate more children comfortably and support the increase in children in the priority admission area.
“They believe that Cleves’ values and ethos would be instilled from an early age and that they would not have to spend as much time as they currently do integrating children from many different schools with various routines and standards.”
They said provision from reception would enable the school to give children with special educational needs greater continuity.
Headteacher Sue Croft said: “We are really excited at the prospect of becoming a primary school.”
