More than 300 people came together last week to celebrate volunteering in Wandsworth.
The event which was organised by the council and hosted by the borough's police commander, Chief Superintendent David Chinchen, honoured volunteers in the borough for their hard work and acts of kindness over the past year.
Attendees at the event included members of the Special Police Constabulary, police volunteers and cadets, MP for Battersea, Jane Ellison, and Wandsworth's Mayor, Councillor Jane Cooper.
Chief Inspector Dick Weaver from the Territorial Policing Olympic Team gave a presentation to all regarding the importance of volunteer support for the policing of the Olympic Games.
Coun Cooper awarded all of the Volunteers with Civic Duty Badges for their outstanding commitment.
Cadets also received their induction graduation certificates and head cadet Shiquerra MacKenzie was awarded the Jack Petchey Award.
