A graduate with football charity Street League was mistaken as the Prime Minister’s minder at a Sport Relief mile.

Isaac Edunyah, 19, Greenwood Road, Croydon, was in Buckinghamshire on Sunday, March 25, to meet with David Cameron about the charity and run a mile for Sport Relief.

Such was his access to the prime minister that a bystander, quoted in the Daily Telegraph, mistook him for his security.

"Mr Cameron and his wife were chatting with people around them on the starting line, but then it started and he just raced off with some guys in orange T-shirts who looked like minders or running partners," the bystander said.

In fact, the "guys in orange T-shirts" were Mr Edunyah and Olalekan Bankole, 21, from Eltham, also representing Street League.

Mr Edunyah said: "It is quite funny they thought we were officials. I joined Street League in September and it has helped me find work and get myself sorted.

"I never thought I would be meeting the Prime Minister."

Street League uses a football and education course to help some of the most disadvantaged young people change their lives.
