As a regular who has spoken to regulars apparently the actual stabbing happened outside.
Apparently the 2 victims had drunk in The Ship that night.
The regulars are deeply upset and shocked that violence has once again been directed at their boozer. We may have our arguments, but it never boils down to fists ( or worse ) unless there is an outsider involved.
It's where The Ship is a rock pub. Outsiders think the place is full of hardnuts and brawlers and gangsters and... So they act that way when they come in. In reality it's not like that at all. Just kids and rockers having a jar and listening to some tunes. A chilled out party pub like so many others.
From what I understand both victims were young'uns, and fairly new. I know nothing about the attacker(s).
My heart goes out to the victims and families of this senseless violence.
Peace and love.
